The Centre For Health Innovation - Ottawa

We have been seeing Dr. Junek for a few years now - she is a very reasonable doctor you can be open with her she isn't judging you like other doctors blaming everything on some sort of nonexistent mental health issue. She is like mixing an MD with an ND - you can do standard medical things with her and biomed etc. She has helped me do things for my child that I could not get the pediatrician to do - simple things like a home order for IV therapy after surgery (my child has POTS) which is like, why is this so hard to get done otherwise?! She is very knowledgeable about a number of health conditions and very open minded. I do a lot of my own research and she does not discount my own thoughts an opinions on what is going on with my chronically ill child but works with me and adds to my thoughts, answers questions when I'm unsure about a theory etc. Yes you have to pay for this and it isn't cheap but it's a great service.

I’m so grateful that The Centre for Health Innovation exists! Navigating cancer is overwhelming, but having a team of professionals with such deep knowledge and understanding has been truly comforting. Dr. Flower has been an amazing source of support, guiding me every step of the way with care and expertise.I always look forward to our sessions and feel reassured about the path ahead. Having The CHI in my corner has made all the difference!

Dr. Robinson is wonderful. I am meeting her under less than desirable conditions she is kind, empathic and compassionate. She shares evidence based information. If you are going through big C treatment and you want to augment and complement conventional treatment you should really meet with her.

Although only my first visit, I found Erica was as knowledgeable as she was thorough in her assessment and recommendations for treatment. I highly recommend Erica and CHI!

Absolutely the best care during my cancer journey- when my chemo failed due to an allergic reaction the amazing doctors and staff at the CHI were there to offer alternatives and support . Dr. Keates is always there when I need her, she has made all the difference in my recovery and long term health . The entire staff go above and beyond- thank you !!

The Centre for Health Innovation goes above and beyond in dealing with my health issues and long-term health goals. Lisa, my Nurse Practitioner, is an excellent listener and provides me with top-notch summaries of our visits that serve as road-maps for lab req's, Rx renewals and referrals to specialists. In my lifetime, I've never received better health care, advice and monitoring. I recommend the Centre to anyone in Ottawa who has had enough of the fiasco the Ontario government has created for so many of us!

We are newcomers to this clinic and couldn’t be more pleased with the friendly yet professional atmosphere here. My husband had one virtual appointment with the very knowledgeable MD about tick disease. He then had an in office appointment for blood work with the RN who was lovely to deal with. The clinic has an almost spa-like feel and the nurse putting a heating pad on my husband’s arm prior to the blood draw, then offering a cup of tea provided the exact type of relaxing treatment needed. I can’t forget to make mention of the administration staff who have always been most helpful and pleasant! I’ve recommended this clinic to others. Thanks CHI!

I had my first visit with Dr. Flower this morning. She was easy to talk with and was able to get the answers she needed by asking the pertinent questions. I also got answers to the questions Ihad. Our discussion about supplements that I could add to my regimen was well explained and will be very useful. She gave me good suggestions about an upcoming medical appointment I have scheduled. I feel better informed and it seemed to me that we both enjoyed our meeting. Thank you, Dr. Flower.

Today was my first visit with Lisa Underhill at The Centre for Health Innovation and I must say that she was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and succinct in getting to understand me, my medical issues and providing thoughts and suggestions in a non-judgmental manner. Looking forward to my next visit and making further discoveries to address my health challenges.

This is one long overdue review. In 2016 I went through the Headstart program at The Centre for Health Innovation which was lead by Anne Pitman, who was amazing. As someone going through the cancer journey, everyone supporting the program added to how informational and uplifting Headstart was. Also, the program provided a trusting safe support system that instilled a camaradie with all of us going through breast cancer while having similar, and sometimes very different experiences, and feelings. I hope that if you or a loved one are looking for help either as prevention or for cancer support and treatments you will consider The Centre for Health Innovation as one of your main healthcare choices.

I've been a patient at the CHI since 2014. The informed and specialized care I have recieved there--whether from an acupuncturist, naturopath, yoga therapist, or personal trainer--has proven invaluable in my time as a cancer patient, before, during, and after therapy. I cannot recommend the CHI enough.
